Virgin Voyages: Around The World with The Diva

Around The World In 80 Minutes started as an intimate one-woman show. When guest demand outgrew the format, Virgin Voyages asked us to reimagine it for their largest theatre onboard, The Red Room. The result was Around The World with The Diva: a 50-minute production with a cast of nine dancers alongside the lead performer.

We led the creative direction in collaboration with choreographer and director James Tuuao, adapting the show for a larger scale while keeping the audience interaction that made the original work. Original music was recorded with session musicians and produced in Logic Pro. We 3D-modelled and animated video content in Blender and After Effects for seven individual flown screens, each designed to interact with the live performance.

The full QLab build, automation integration and installation were delivered during normal ship operations on a tight turnaround.
