Virgin Voyages: Diva Fever

Diva Fever is a high-energy drag production set in a world of disco decadence, talking disco balls and high-seas heists. Our seventh show for Virgin Voyages, delivered onboard Resilient Lady.

We wrote the script, built the QLab show file and produced all preparation documentation for installation during regular ship operations. Over 50 video elements were created in Unreal Engine, including projection mapping onto the proscenium to extend the virtual environment into the physical space. Fiery visuals, raining money, a CGI bandit crushed by a giant disco ball. The video work pushed the format further than anything we'd built before.

With music tracks still awaiting final mastering during the install, the production demanded real-time collaboration and constant adaptation. The result is a show that sits comfortably alongside the spectacle, humour and audience interaction that define Virgin Voyages' entertainment.
