Mr Blackpool came home. After rave reviews at Homotopia, Northern Stage, Brighton Festival, the Lowry and the Southbank Centre, Harry Clayton-Wright's end-of-the-pier extravaganza reached its climax at the Blackpool Grand Theatre, the stage where he launched his career as a teenager.
Created and headlined by Clayton-Wright, the homecoming dug deep into what it means to come from a place like Blackpool, blending heart, humour and unapologetic hometown pride. It brought together local talent including House of Wingz, a guest spot from Blackpool's own Millie B and an after show party that kicked off with a DJ set from Linda Devo.
Following our work across Mr Blackpool's Seaside Spectacular, we returned to deliver the sound design and remixes and to support the creative development of the show. A night of lip syncs, vintage magic, glitter cannons and pyro, built to send the room home buzzing.
At a time when regional voices and queer narratives are under sustained pressure, a hometown show platformed at this scale is both a celebration and a statement.
