OUR FOUNDER

OLIVER GREGORY

Hi! I’m Oliver, an entertainment producer and theatre-maker based in the United Kingdom. My work embodies innovation, artistry, and the highest standards of production excellence.

With over a decade of professional experience in the performance industry, I have developed unmatched expertise in creating unforgettable experiences, even within the most unconventional and challenging spaces.

I’ve been lucky over this time to build a jam-packed little black book of top-level industry performers, artists, and creative collaborators. The next natural step for me was to create Plug&Play Productions.

My dual background as both a performer and producer enables me to seamlessly balance compelling audience engagement with flawless logistical execution. From managing the complexities of corporate clients to transforming non-traditional venues into dynamic, immersive stages, with Plug&Play, I aim to bring innovative visions to life with precision and flair.

I can't wait to see what we create together!

Our Commitment

We're committed to LGBTQ+ representation within the arts. We're passionate about bringing queer joy, camp, and spectacle to the stage, ensuring programming is authentic, respectful and celebratory.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What type of projects do you take on?

We specialise in live theatrical productions and excel in crafting innovative visual and sonic designs that elevate live events. Our projects demand creative vision and a dynamic approach, allowing us to continually push the boundaries of artistic expression.

What time-zone do you work in?

Based in Manchester, UK (GMT/BST), we work with clients across the globe, ensuring seamless collaboration across time zones. We maintain a flexible schedule and adopt a proactive approach to keep communication clear and efficient. By leveraging cloud-based workflows, we share updates and coordinate meetings to suit a variety of time zones.

No matter where you are located, we ensure that distance and time differences never compromise the delivery of high-quality, timely results.

What is the typical timeline for a project?

The timeline for a project can vary considerably depending on its complexity, scope, and specific requirements. We begin every engagement with an initial consultation to understand your vision and establish realistic milestones.

For most mid-sized projects, timelines typically range from a few weeks to a few months, incorporating stages such as research, design, development, and revisions. For larger-scale productions or projects involving bespoke sound and visual design, timelines may extend to several months to ensure every element is perfected. Our approach emphasises efficient yet thorough work, balancing speed with creative excellence.

How do you charge for projects ?

As an experienced creative production company, we tailor our pricing structure to reflect both the complexity and scope of each project. We believe in delivering exceptional value by ensuring that every element is crafted with meticulous attention to detail and a high level of creativity. Our rates combine a base project fee with potential adjustments for bespoke requirements, timelines, or specialised resources.

What does your design process look like?

Our design process for creating live shows begins with a detailed consultation to align on vision and concept. We then move into research and ideation, developing mood boards, storyboards, and initial sketches to shape the show’s aesthetic and tone. For the creative direction, we design and write original content, alongside soundscapes and animatics, ensuring each element supports the overall narrative and audience experience.

The process involves constant refinement and collaboration, working closely with senior leaders and technical teams to ensure the final result is a seamless, immersive experience that meets the project’s objectives.

What if I need help after the project is complete?

We believe that good value lies in continued collaboration, so we are always available to assist with any questions or adjustments that arise after the main project phase.

Depending on your needs, this can include follow-up consultations, troubleshooting, updates, or enhancements to existing work. These services can be offered on a retainer basis or as one-off support sessions, providing flexibility to match your ongoing requirements.
